  1. Andy is a gentleman, would love to buy him a beer someday.
  2. Guardiola is so smug when he gives interviews.
  3. You'd have thought not long ago that Diaby would be a must-start v Man City.
  4. I predict he'll start Digne and sub him off for Moreno at halftime, just like he did last season on several occasions.
  5. I wonder if Emery puts Carlos right back in there to shadow Haaland. But it would require Konsa either playing RB again or being dropped.
  6. Arteta and the modern Arsenal supporter make me really dislike them. Lucky words removed

    Ezri Konsa

Thanks It was almost TOO good a tackle, because he caught it so clean and strongly, it ricocheted off Diego back toward goal! Great to see Ezri become one of the best center backs in the land.
  8. I saw that the Kelly and Wrighty show now includes the Villa badge in their "Title Race" graphic... But they're still clueless, or at least Wright is. His "insight" amounted to naming three players, one of which he struggled to remember (Dougie). I'm seen him do the same exact thing in the past with Villa. If you have that platform as an "analyst", you should respect the audience a bit more and maybe prepare a little rather than just wing it.

    Ezri Konsa

I watched the Bournemouth game live, and happened to turn away for a moment (I know, I'm sorry) which happened to be the moment when Ezri made that tackle... Does anyone have a clip of it?
  10. Dan Bardell wearing capri pants and white tennis shoes in December winds me up.
  11. Premier League officiating has sunk so low that they are making a case for their own replacement. And perhaps the replacement should be some form of an artificial intelligence protocol that understands every nuance of every rule and regulation and can make instant decisions and rulings without human error, unconscious bias or corruption.
  12. The Guardian Football pod is discussing the Burnley-Shef Utd match before ours
  13. His regular explosions of knee-slapping laughter are annoying, but when he's making a serious point, I like him. But that was a good line, delivered without his customary explosions.
  14. That turnover looks worse and worse each time I watch it. So lazy and careless considering the location on the pitch. Really poor concentration. Not a stellar performance on the whole, and he's probably played himself back onto the bench.
  15. Emery and Ange are demonstrating that a new manager can transform and elevate a team in a matter of weeks. Ten Hag is going on 18 months or so and they are going round in circles treading water. They have no identity and no discernable pattern or style to their play. It's a chaotic freestyle based on wishing for the best. Ten Hag is one of the least charismatic managers I've ever witnessed and I'd hate to play for him too. But as bad as he is, the players are worse. And whoever helps the manager with recruitment needs sacking. Just horrific stuff. The entire operation there is a crumbling disaster, occasionally redeemed by the odd good result or mini run of collective form. But without oil money rescuing them, I can forsee only more suffering and decline for many more years.
  16. Yes, I was going to add the caveat that if the programming isn't 100% accurate, it'd be an entirely pointless endeavor.
  17. There should be experiments with A.I. as the sole officiating protocol. There'd be no room for human error.
  18. At this point, it's reached a level of embarrassment and incompetence unique to the Premier League. No league has ever been as popular and had as many people from around the globe watching it, which makes it's Hackney Marshes level officiating all the more scandalous. The players deserve better and fans too.
  19. I'm not sure they have that kind of juice anymore, which is pretty staggering.
  20. Nor do I, but clearly the criteria used for employing competent and accountable officials in the Premier League is flawed. My statement about women and minorities was somewhat rhetorical, but the theory behind it might not be as pie-in-sky as it superficially looks.
