Grats to the Bronco boys on here, just a devastating defensive performance again. Watching Carolina get shut down like that takes a bit of the sting off our loss to you guys. People will talk about that defense for a LONG time. Shocking lack of guts by Newton when he didn't try to recover that fumble, and I think people will be talking about that too. Weird game in general, far from a classic, too many mistakes and penalties from both teams, but the story is the defense. Carolina will be back though, they were favored for a good reason. No NFL until September, urgh....

I can imagine at this point the show might seem a little dated in many ways. Still, it remains the cream of the crop for me.

Devastating Barca performance, but Valencia didn't do themselves any favors. I think Gary Neville has picked the wrong club at the wrong time. He should've started out at Wolves or Fulham. The spotlight shines very bright in Valencia and La Liga, and he's got to be on borrowed time now.

The last five years have been like watching a relative slowly die from disease. A preventable one. I have a feeling of disgust in my stomach today that I've never had with regard to Villa. We are essentially relegated already. That a small handful of men could do what they've done to an institution like Aston Villa is staggering. My heart goes out to the true hardcore Villans who travel with the team week in, week out. We all deserve so much better, but especially them. What a disgrace.

I like Remi garde, and I want him to stay to help spur a Villa revival. But I admit that I'd also take great pleasure in him quitting before the game today, and really giving the brass an earful. Embarrass them until they piss themselves with shame, the words removed.

Really stunning degree of belligerence over what amounts to a pretty inconsequential issue. Had the option to start a thread about this match existed four days ago, I'd have mentioned talk of a boycott in the thread. As it was not an option for me, I and others mentioned it in other threads. I actually thought this was a piss take. Might be time for me to take a break from VT. Happy New year!
