  1. Sanders can win every New England state, NY, NJ, Washington, Oregon, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois. But Hillary will destroy him in delegate-rich California, Texas, Ohio and Florida. Unless he pulls off a huge upset and wins in SC and Nevada, I just can't see middle of the road Democrats jumping over to his camp.
  2. In truth, Bush stole the election in 2000 triggering riots in the streets of Washington on his inauguration, which all major news outlets did not cover. If Gore had the balls to challenge it, the Bush fiasco might never have happened. It always bothered me how quickly Gore folded and conceded. I think there were some very sleazy back room things going on there.
  3. Casual in their kicks, which I think was a result of overcompensating for the pressure they felt.
  4. So close, Peterborough. Terrible penalty at the end there though. Both the young kids looked like they were overwhelmed by the moment.
  5. Obama had a huge advantage over Hillary in South Carolina with black voters. This time around it's Hillary vs a old white Jewish New Yorker. "Jewish New York Socialist" is going to be a major obstacle for Sanders in Bible Belt states and beyond.
  6. It's an odd thing. Up here in Maine, once you get outside the cities and coastal towns, it's Hillbilly Heaven. Country music on every other station, trucks with NASCAR bumper stickers and **** Confederate flags! A lot of Mainers died in the Civil War, but these numb nuts probably don't even know there was a civil war.
  7. I think most voters view the Washington Establishment with weariness and contempt, and what Sanders and Trump/Cruz represent is an alternative to the status quo. People see total gridlock in Washington, where nothing gets done. People on the right think most Republicans in Washington are too soft on immigration, abortion, marriage equality, etc., and many on the left view the Dems as too centrist, too soft on Wall St. and too hawkish on foreign policy. But I wouldn't look too far into the New Hampshire results. Clinton has massive support amongst blacks and older voters. She's got PAC money, whereas Sanders refuses it. So unless she comes unglued along the way, I can't see him getting the nomination. Most Americans hear the word socialist and they think we'll all be sent to labor camps. I still think Trump will implode and either Cruz or Bush surge ahead.
  8. Pretty accurate indicator of opposing political views in New England. Solidly left wing, progressive, anti-war social justice candidate vs unreligious, sloganeering, jingoistic racist.
  9. Then again, I did win the VT Pick em League!
  10. If betting like that was available to us over here, I'd probably be broke
  11. I used to Follow JG on Twitter, but he kept tweeting awful jokes, I couldn't take it anymore!
  12. Liverpool are not unbeatable...maybe luck will shine on us this time and we can squeak out a win.
  13. Just watched Life of Ryan on Netflix. Interesting viewing...Giggs is a likable guy, a bit of a head in the clouds type character that I can't help but root for as a manager. I think he might be a bit of a soft touch though as a manager of top pros.
  14. Newton falling over on the sideline and walking out of the presser reflects poorly on him. So does the piling on by Denver players the day after the game. Take the high road after the win, FFS. Ugly game made uglier by some of this crap.
  15. Righto, anyone want to do a VT head to head Yahoo fantasy baseball league? I figure there's about 8 MLB fans on here, which would be enough for a smallish league. With 8 teams, we'd all be guaranteed good rosters... Let me know if you have any interest. Still weeks away from drafting.
  16. Watching Eli's reaction there and to me it looks like he was just very nervous for his brother and also probably didn't want to look like a Denver fanboy while still a Giant.
  17. When LVG is sacked, I'd like to see them give Giggs a shot at the job. But they probably won't...Mourinho or Pep will get the job, and the fans will still be unhappy with negative football.
  18. This is becoming a classic rivalry, TRS. It's like Borg-McEnroe, and Tom and Jerry...
  19. The worst part of The Wire might be the "Snot Boogie" opening scene. But by the time that first episode was finished, I was hooked like a drug fiend. Binge watched three seasons and then watched the rest as they came out. Bunny Colvin is my hero.
