  1. Jesus Christ, can we have one single day of just good news? Krulak Out
  2. The fact that I think that the United States could realistically slip into a semi-fascist police state within the next 20 years.
  3. The political scene in Brazil is getting seriously sleazy
  4. Is there anything printed on the backs of tickets that prohibits banners?
  5. It slows him down to the point where the establishment GOP might challenge him at the convention, something that is unheard of in modern times.
  6. From 1776 until the mid 19th century, most states had a property requirement to vote as well.
  7. It should be said that Sanders is polling high with white working class voters, particularly in the north and midwest. Tonights results are going to be massive, one way or the other. I'm loving the fact that Hillary is being made to sweat it out again.
  8. In many ways, the United States was founded as a white supremacist state, where blacks and indigenous people had no rights and worse. What we are witnessing now with the Trump phenomenon is the pathetic last dying gasps of a bloated old whale of white supremacy. Working and middle class whites have seen their position in the traditional hierarchy downgraded, so when a guy like Trump comes along and starts throwing red meat their way, they eat it up. It's a fundamentally racist campaign in a country that is stretched at the seams with racist incidents, like all the extrajudicial police killings of blacks, and the church massacre in South Carolina. It's a really ugly spectacle.
  9. Fickle suggests impulsive and irrational motivation. I think Villa fans have shown incredible patience over the last five years, (much more than that, really) and have earned the right to have our voices heard, especially now that the Villa brass view it's "customers" as the enemy. Banners and a walkout are pretty tame considering the circumstances.
  10. Garde would probably be a good manager if he had professional players
  11. Setting off a bunch of flares on 74 minutes would be dramatic as well...
  12. This smacks of just a pure PR move. As much as I'd like to believe they'd value Little's input and knowledge, at the end of the day, the Lerner system is firmly in place, and nothing's going to change.
  13. happy birthday fellla

      Tegis

      Thank you kind sir!!

  14. My head knows you are right, but my heart wants to feel warm and fuzzy.
  15. I'm inclined to take anything Hodgson says with a pinch of salt. Bit of a self promoter.
  16. Steve Bruce or Brian Little? I choose Little, thank you very much. Capable manager with his head and heart in the right place.
  17. I smile when I see this thread title. Little is the first Villa manager I really remember in any significant way, so it's like my personal Villa roots have come back to say hello. TBH, I'd be over the moon if he was offered the manager's job.
  18. Yep, Little and Bernstein will be smart enough to separate one from the other. The organizers should not have canceled this, it had a good chance of turning into something memorable. A voice of the fans had a little bit of traction, but now they've backed off, which is too bad.
