  1. Loudest band i ever saw was the Gary Moore Band at the old Cape Cod Coliseum. A triple bill with Krokus and Def Leppard when the drummer still had both arms.
  2. Tax deadline is tomorrow. Which means today I'll be filling out the most tedious and boring forms to declare what little money I made last year so Uncle Sam can get his dirty hands on it. words removed.
  3. Right move by issuing a statement, but we all know the words are basically just platitudes as long as the club remains in Lerner's vise grip.
  4. I suppose the kid is still pretty young though. Maybe his better qualities will shine through eventually. I **** hope so, anyway.
  5. But he's not that fast and his game is predictable. Maybe a real nice player in France, but he's a bit naive in England and he scares nobody.
  6. Westwood and Cissokho are the two that I saw on television who clapped. Westwood looked like he was crying, actually.
  7. Stanley twists the blade... http://talksport.com/football/youre-disgrace-call-me-stan-collymore-rants-aston-villa-stars-talksport-160416192319
  8. But there was never a Villa side that contained the players you listed that was on a team that could challenge for the league. The Yorke and Dublin era Villa sides had the legitimate possibility of at least UEFA Cup ties and a couple of league cup and runs on the league itself. Villa Park used to seem like a fortress, with that Villa mist... How the **** did this happen that I love this football club so much? Aston Villa are like royalty in exile. A giant among football clubs, Aston Villa is known the world over for tradition and winning. We will be back.
  9. Ellis was a dickhead, but he wasn't a complete catastrophe. When I think Ellis, I think Yorke, Savo, Southgate, Ehiogu, Taylor, Wright, Dublin, Barry, JPA, Nilis, Ginola, Merson, Carbone, Laursen and Mellberg. We were still a club under Ellis that could put a streak of fear in teams. We are a total disaster under Lerner. Things have gone from bad to worse every step of the way with Lerner. If Ellis stayed he may have been just football-savvy enough to keep us in the Premier League a few years more until a real proper buyer came around. Lerner has no clue about the price of milk. Shame Villa have been saddled with both of them. We deserve better.
  10. Worst thing Herbert ever did was sell to Lerner
  11. He'll never kick a ball for Villa again.
  12. Hahaha You know we're gonna get into something good
  13. I think a fundamental truth about Bob Marley is often obscured by the whole Bob Marley Legacy Industrial Complex, and that is that the dude could flat out sing
  14. Crikey, Zat Knight was a big boy, wasn't he?
  15. There is something very strange to me about a presidential debate in Brooklyn. New York has changed so much in the last 20 years.
  16. Mellberg, the stoic gentleman. Laursen, the elegant menace. I love both of them, and it warms the heart thinking about better days. I think Martin was slightly better. Mellberg the better athlete, Laursen the better artist, and the more ebullient character. An embarrassment of riches in Villa terms. Although at their individual peak, I'd like to think they could have started for almost any club in the world.
  17. This kid Velasquez for Philly is going off
  18. just curious why this has a lock clock on it
  19. The rot starts with Lerner. The rot ends, hopefully, when he's gone.
  20. When beer starts to taste like fruit juice, I might need to slow down my beer consumption...
  21. LOL, nah, I have the good stuff, keeps you totally functional and nobody knows it when I've been smoking, lol.
