On the face of it, it would seem that this might very well be the ideal owner...giving all the right signals that he's not a hit and run owner, he wants to put work into not only the club, but the entire area there, where needed/possible. I can't be too mad at Villa fans who are still in shell shock over the Lerner nightmare and take a cynical view of any new owner. It's like a self protection reflex. But at least celebrate the fact that Randy Lerner and his flunkies from Hell will never get their hands on the club again.

I just watched the interview, and he looks about 10 years older than 30, do we have his age right? He also seemed a bit shy and even nervous, which makes me like him, he's not pompous or polished and he doesn't seem like he's full of shit. I look forward to an owner who will be visible and vocal when needed. If we really have 50m to spend this summer...I say we bring Tekkers back for the promotion push, wouldn't that be great?!

Jake Arrieta was a journeyman two years ago, last year he won the Cy Young. Fortunes in baseball can turn on a dime, I've seen it happen many times. Bradley won't keep this torrid pace up, but the way he's swinging the bat suggests he's adjusted his mechanics at the plate and clearly has more confidence. If he finishes the season hitting .280 with 20 HR's, he'll have done great. He's here for his defense, anyway, so good offensive production from him is just a bonus.

His youth and Western education are good things IMO...he seems to have a passion for football and will probably have a more nuanced base of knowledge of the sport than Lerner and his flunkies. He might even keep the Villa Park name if he's smart. High hopes, let's enjoy the honeymoon...
