I'm not sure he's fitter, but if he retains some of that bulk, he'll be harder to deal with physically, which can't hurt. I'm sure he won't be as quick as he was before so he'll have to adjust his game. Stan reads the game very well, so if he can take the ball, shrug off a tackle and quickly start an attack, I see no reason why he can't emulate someone like Schweinsteiger. Judging by that one particular photo though, he is really not in great shape. But that's what these game are for, go on, Stan!

I'm having the most fun as a Villa fan since the FA Cup run. And really, more fun, because Lerner is GONE, and we're signing promising players, the whole board setup looks very efficient and experienced, I like RDM's quiet confidence, Stan is back (WOW!), the Under Armour gear looks really good, we are going to win games again, and this season is going to be SO MUCH FUN. We are where we are for a lot of reasons, but that is in the past. So let's enjoy this season, and let's not jump off cliffs if we don't go straight back up. We need to establish a legacy one day at a time, but I'm really excited that we could maybe, perhaps, eventually, one day, become champions of Europe again!!!
