  1. I picked up this as well. Mole sauce. You mix it with chicken or veggie boullion and it makes a really great sauce.
  2. I used to see it in Boston, but haven't seen it up here yet.
  3. @VILLAMARV Nice post. Sometimes I think that the power brokers in the US must regret capitulating to the NRA to the degree that they have. The result is a populace that is armed to the teeth. Charismatic grassroots leaders have traditionally been assassinated in this country before they could do too much damage to the status quo. But with things the way they are now, and the way they will be when working class Trump voters realize they've been duped, we'll have no shortage of people who will be happy to take up arms behind some local hero. All signs point to complete breakdown. It might take 20 years, but I think the USA is on it's last legs as a cohesive nation state.
  4. I found a pint bottle of old school Guinness at a convenience store. It's more like a porter with it's carbonation. $2.99 as well. Nice on a stormy afternoon.
  5. There is a treasure trove of entertaining posts going back. And we have lost some great posters. Hopefully some of those people will return to post again.
  6. Obama has gotten away with all of it with barely a slap on the wrist. Hopefully somebody does a comprehensive retrospective on his 8 years in office so all his fawning groupies can snap out of their stupor and realize that he is not a hero. With Trump, most clear thinking people know he's a con man, he has zero credibility, and his administration has lied every day since he took office. The calamity of the last two weeks is just the start. It's going to get really ugly.
  7. Nine inches of snow has fallen today, and it's still coming down...
  8. Drawing battle lines for law enforcement for the approaching war on civilians.
  9. Brady's game jersey went missing right after he took it off...valued at $500,000 apparently. His dirty shirt is worth more than everything I own, by a large amount..
  10. The Veterans Stand controversy stemmed primarily from money concerns, and logistics on the ground. A lot of vets raised a fuss about not getting their cash allotment (donated online), making travel and other arrangements difficult. Some people accused the VS organizers of theft. Other vets said that they thought the whole thing lacked leadership and good planning. The money issues got sorted out AFAIK; the planning and logistics complaints were readily admitted to. The Sacred Stone camp is the one camp that is not on disputed territory (incredible that these areas are still in dispute in 2017), and that is where the remaining people are. I'd hate the thing to go down with a whimper, but police are putting felony charges on jaywalkers there. If you have people depending on you, a felony charge can ruin your life. I wish I could say I was heading there again.
  11. Trump voters must be infuriated at this cynical display of cronyism.
  12. It's the inevitability of it that is so depressing. The winter there has been brutal, some very tough people couldn't continue. Less than 100 people are there now apparently. Tribal leaders are telling people not to return. Plenty of uncomfortable tribal politics has been laid bare. Accusations of selling out and whatnot. I'll be interested to see the veteran response this time around, because a lot of them were pissed off with how the thing (Veterans Stand) was organized. If nothing else, I hope the dedication to cause that was demonstrated at Standing Rock will be considered the touchstone for a new progressive protest movement.
  13. Of course, the Electoral College should have been enough to thwart Trump. Nobody had the balls to do it then, but he's President now, and his Tweets can can people killed.
  14. I wouldn't surprise me if ranking Republicans are thinking about this- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twenty-fifth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution
  15. I agree, it was a particularly BAD game for New England for most of regulation. 28-3 halfway through the 3rd quarter disqualifies the game for best ever honors. Best ever comeback without question though. Still can't believe we pulled that off, Brady's will to win is incredible. 466 yards. Clutch plays and drives. Awesome. I think I read last night that 6/7 New England SB appearances have been decided on the last play of the game. Hopefully the next one we can put away by halftime! Consensus today seems to be that Brady and Belichick are the GOAT...this win takes the Patriots as a football club closer to that title as well.
  16. Brady will be tempted to hang it up after this one. But he won't. #tb12goat
  17. Fluke catch by Edelman to keep us alive but we lost to NYG twice on fluke catches. It was an amazing catch, and that was a stunning comeback. I watched it happen, but I still can't believe it.
  18. Two instant legend catches by Jones and Edelman
  19. We always make these games fun
