  1. I think this is just a publicity stunt to make it look like he's credible to his adversaries at home and aggressive to his adversaries abroad. He's a showman, this smacks of showmanship.
  2. Just as I was getting used to Under Armour.
  3. I think his initial instinct was to shoot What a great game though, and what more needs to be said about the little Argentine.
  4. Well this has brightened my weekend. How I would love it if they got relegated with Harry in charge
  5. Crazy days when this guy is considered reasonable...
  6. You know a country is diminished in stature when it's vice-president sports a flag lapel pin on foreign visits.
  7. I'm not sure how the Sun let the Kelvin Mackenzie article be published, he managed to insult almost everybody with that drivel. I think more clubs should join the Merseyside clubs in boycotting the Sun.
  8. In total my list looks like this: 1978 Buick Century 1988 Chevy Cavalier 1972 BMW 2002 1978 BMW 320i 1996 VW Jetta 1998 Ford Ranger 2004 Ford Escape
  9. Rosie Ruiz "won" the Boston Marathon by getting off a subway train a mile from the finish and somehow mixed in with the runners unnoticed and sprinted to the finish line, fooling everybody. She was found out the next day. I've always kind of liked her for it though, great piss take.
  10. The pizza shop by my house when I was a kid was called Villa House of Pizza. 'twas meant to be...
  11. It was class, as was my red 1972 BMW 2002, 4 speed. Not a highway car, but fun to scoot around the city in. Unfortunately both cars required steady maintenance, so I sold them. I bought a more practical VW Jetta, which was fun to drive but had continual electric problems. Switched to a Ford Ranger when I was using it for work, and loved it, no problems. Been driving a Ford Escape for the last 12 years, it's a good little SUV, and it only has 60K miles on it. I need an AWD for Maine winters though, and my Escape doesn't have it. A trade in will probably happen next year, not sure if I'll stick with Ford.
  12. Really saddened by this, he was in the Villa side that I first fell in love with. Great player, real professional, good guy. R.I.P, Ugo.
  13. Heal up, Ugo!
  14. The term "Sardonic Grin" stems from the tradition among ancient Sardinians to ritualistically kill their elderly and laugh while doing it.
  15. They broke their own standards when they drafted him and knew all about his violent tendencies. But they were blinded by his ability, and he could have been an all time great. He was punk in Bristol, CT. and he died a punk. Such a waste, particularly the innocent people he gunned down. Easily the most sordid story in the history of Boston sports.
  16. They do look sharp. I'd like a better look at the cap you have on that truck, I've never seen one like it.
  17. Not as cool as my 1978 BMW 320i, the same copper color as the Buick, but way cooler.
  18. Ridiculous, Australia is a completely landlocked country.
  19. He had just beaten a separate double homicide rap, even though everyone knows he did it. Sounds like maybe his conscience caught up with him. Total shitstain of a human being, no tears will be shed for him.
  20. Was it the fusion that killed him?
  21. When he pulled his antics with Villa, I thought then that he might have a depression/anxiety/drink/drugs crisis. Clearly this is more serious than just Jack Grealish-style fuckups. I hope he gets the help he needs.
  22. "He's an artist with the Thompson"
