All right, I've changed it to all time. I figured most people on here were too young, weren't born yet or otherwise couldn't follow English football prior to the early 90's.
It doesn't have to be about statistics, or trophies or awards or length of service or degree of talent (but it all helps). It can also be intangible things that you think are important to a player's legacy at Aston Villa Football Club.
My list in no particular order:
Paul McGrath
Gareth Barry
Ian Taylor
Jack Grealish
Dean Saunders
Gabriel Agbonlahor
Emi Martinez
Dwight Yorke
Mark Bosnich
Olaf Mellberg
A lot of others right on the bubble, but I had to make some hard choices. I have 10 more who could be on the second team..
This is an instant classic. Attributes an idiotic Trump quote to Biden as evidence of Biden's senility, but when confronted with the fact that Trump said it, he downplays it as a simple rhetorical error.
Texans have always considered themselves quasi-independent, and actions like this agitate for greater autonomy. As long as the GOP runs the state, we'll keep seeing more of it. And if Trump gets back in power, border crossers WILL be shot on site, I have no doubt about it. I wouldn't even rule out a military incursion into Mexico.
I had a feeling we'd drop points today. Hopefully this gets Monchi working extra hard to shift Digne, Traore, Chambers and Duran, if reports are true that he wants out.
Lee Hendrie does this as well, he really does. He does it so often it becomes distracting to the point where I'm thinking less about the game and more about when he's gonna say it next. Obviously used for emphasis, but it's kind of lazy. It really is.
I think our window hinges upon selling Digne to the Saudi League. It'll free up FFP and take a big earner off the books. If we can sell Digne and Traore and even Chambers, all the better!
Same. It was a sensation when it came out. Very subversive for mainstream network TV in the U.S. I loved the moody atmosphere and deliberate pace.
My friend group had watch parties and then discussed it all week until the next one.
It was definitely a product of that very specific time period coming out of the 80's.
Just doesn't quite hold up now.
Apparently Mayo has a "succession clause" written into his contract that allows him and the Patriots to just slide him into the position without having to interview non-white coaching candidates. So I'd say Mayo is a lock for the job.
It was probably always going to end with a whimper.
So long Bill, you grumpy old bastard.
The public response to this would be much more sentimental if Bill had just a bit more generosity of spirit.
Nonetheless, the guy will probably get a statue at Gillette, and he'll deserve it.
Looks like either Mayo or Vrabel will step into the job.
The whole operation needs a breath of fresh air, head coach is a good place to start.
