  1. I had no idea that Jay Ajayi is English.
  2. Vikes stadium is stunning
  3. Rampant Villa, it's been years since I could say that. Good to bag three points on a day all the other top sides did as well. Some big games coming up, let's go!
  4. The Eagles didn't even make the list at the top of this thread
  5. I think Bruce will be cut loose if we go up. Unless we barnstorm the rest of the season. What bigger name managers might be available do you think?
  6. Feels great to be a winning team again. Do people expect Tony to splash the cash straight away if we're promoted, or will he play it conservative?
  7. it's a good one, best of the six
  8. Team spirit is high, gotta go bag the points now.
  9. Yes, and Trump's canning of McCabe suggests he's testing the waters for canning Mueller, which just might mean the start of another.
  10. But you can read that sort of headline in the Daily Mirror, etc. Your printed tabloid press is pretty foul. But it sounds like you were watching Fox News or an affiliate. The other networks wouldn't have said something like that.
  11. "Dirty Money" on Netflix has an episode on Trump and it's worth a watch. The whole thing is literally a con job, which isn't a surprise in and of itself given what we already know and are presently learning, but the way the episode methodically presents the evidence makes it all the more alarming.
  12. Has the issue been settled and they're not in jeopardy of a move?
  13. Toronto is CFL turf. St. Louis has been burned twice so I don't think there's an appetite there for the NFL again yet. Memphis is Titans country. Cowboys rule Texas outside Houston. Oakland won't accept a team not called the Raiders. Portland is not a priority for the league. So London and Mexico City would be further up the list then those cities. I think they'll let a team or two want to move before they expand the number of teams. Other than Jacksonville, I can't think of another team that's been discussed as potentially being moved.. So if Jax were to move, where to? My money is on Mexico City.
  14. They should keep the game the same but deregulate it. A Republican's dream league. For starters, fewer penalties, fewer TV breaks and mandated hurry up offenses. Move the kickoff spot back to it's old position and no touch backs allowed, the returner must run the ball back.
  15. I bet if fans actually have in influence on how he sets his league up (dubious), they'll want less officiating and more violence. They'll not only have a red white and blue love fest every Friday night, they'll turn it into a garish military worship spectacle. Despite it's potential capacity for cultural mayhem, it will provide careers for talented athletes and coaches. I think there's room for the XFL at the moment and I don't think they'll flop as quickly this time.
  16. If they consulted you, what sort of gridiron rule book would you devise?
  17. This could be interesting. As long as they don't do the razzle dazzle stuff from the first time they tried this. If they manage to keep the game pure at it's core, the NFL could lose hundreds of thousands of fans. The NFL has become so politicized that it's driving a lot of (white) fans away. McMahon clearly panders to them with his "stand for the flag" mandate. The idea of a fan-consulted gridiron league is very appealing to probably a wide cross section of fans for a variety of reasons. If nothing else, it could be/probably will be an absolute circus, especially with the current politics around American football.
  18. We've started too many games this season slow, including the playoff games. It'll be hard to score against Philly, so we'll need to pressure them early on. This will be a very close game.
