The parallels to Lerner are striking. Big talk at the start followed by a massive bet at the craps table only to lose big and set the club back even farther. We need an owner who doesn't make these big promises of European glory, we just need competence and steadiness.

This is staggering. We are becoming more of an idea and less of a functioning football club. **** hell. We need someone with cash and enthusiasm, and quick.
I have to say, this news is making my heart sink. We need a Steve Stride helmed consortium to finally put things in order. IMO, we can't risk selling to another gambler, we need sensible stewardship from actual Villa people who have a long term vision for getting back to the top flight and staying there. We don't need promises of Champions League glory, we just need lasting competence.
I saw Solo yesterday. Really pleasantly surprised. It didn't feel tired like Rogue One even though it was a prequel. Good acting and some excellent action sequences. Decent script, good direction. 3.5/5
Strange local story here..a severely drunk woman drove onto a baseball field and hit and killed a coach in his 70's. Turns out he recently confessed to a hit-and-run homicide of a small girl 50 years ago. No connection at all to the drunk woman.
