The reggae nerds on here will appreciate this- I've been seeing this sax player busking in the Old Port here in Portland. Older guy, and really good. He plays either jazz tunes or he'll play a reggae track on his little amplifier and play along with it.
Turns out he's Glen daCosta who played sax in the Wailers on Natty Dread, Rastaman Vibration and Exodus. Songs that you hear on the radio to this day. He was on stage for that famous Manley-Seaga handshake at the One Love peace concert. This guy was one of the top horn players in Jamaica. And here he is living in Maine on busking collections.
If only Rita Marley was less greedy, he might be less dependent on busking. Shame.
