I knew the longer it dragged out, the more likely it'd be that Brady moved on, so I'm not surprised by this. 20 years and the most incredible run of success we could have ever dreamed of. My bet is that he goes to Las Vegas for a year or two and has fun with it, freed from Belichik's scrutiny. Of course, if there's no NFL this year, it's moot. -
The economy is grinding to a halt and might stay inert for months. people are saying a recession is coming. But if there is NO economy, a major depression is coming.

There were mass layoffs and bar/restaurant closures today here in Portland. Very sad. There will be thousands of restaurant workers who will be broke or close to it as soon as this weekend. We need relief money getting into people's hands pronto. Loan predators are probably drooling at this scenario.

It is really quiet outside. I live right by the docks with a view of Casco bay bridge which connects Portland and South Portland. 8PM on a Monday and there are no cars crossing. Nobody in the street at all.

Back from the supermarket. Bought a bunch of cat food and litter, the last several boxes of pasta left on the shelf, a whole turkey, pork chops, onions, carrots, (they were out of garlic ), frozen pizza, frozen veggies, water, tuna fish, etc. The place was a little busier than normal, and everyone was calm. The city just imposed a curfew on restaurants. Many places have already closed and laid off staff. I expect a complete shutdown of bars soon. I might have one or two nights to do a little business, but I'm honestly thinking about just saving the booze and food for myself!
