Very smart and stylish show. I'm through 3 episodes now. Not convinced by some of the acting, though. They get the period right in so many ways, but they apparently didn't think to convince the actors to drop their own contemporary mannerisms and ways of speaking to better reflect those of 1961.

Cooked my first risotto tonight. Mushroom. Test run for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. Turns out liberal amounts of Parmesano, butter and cream make things taste good. Extra miles on my walks this weekend will be in order.

Terrible year gets terrible-er. Really sad. 60 is way too young, but he lived on the edge for a long time and packed a lot of living into those years. Took the torch from Pele and created his own folklore. Total legend. If they're still playing football in 200 years, he will walk right into the all time team.

I shut it off after about 20 seconds in having watched monkeys in trees trying to escape the burning forest. It's too sad to fully consider for very long. I know we are goners, and we are bringing all the poor animals down with us. It's unbelievable. Devastating. It's a lonely feeling.

Your cynicism is stealing my heart, but I can't agree. His brain goes out the window from time to time, but he makes up for it with power and pace and a rocket of a shot. He clicks well with Grealish, who personally wanted him at Villa, so that's good enough for me.
