As tragic and sickening as yesterday's event was, Democracy (or what's left of it) rallied to affirm Biden, hours after Osoff's victory in Georgia was called, handing Dems full power. Trump will be removed from office no later than the 20th of this month and the Dems will try to put the pieces back together after 4 years of anarchy. I'm more hopeful today than I have been in 5 years.

They are armed to the teeth and are willing to commit atrocities. Hopefully this situation forces lawmakers to clamp down on guns and the militia groups/proud boy types. There needs to be an all out assault on the armed wing of MAGA.

The lax response seems premeditated.

There were lawmakers cowering in the aisles of the House of Representatives. Gas masks deployed. Gunfire. These were the hardcore MAGAs representing every fascist paramilitary group in the country. I'm glad they had no guns with them but this was a political crime using violence. Its terrorism to me.
