LOL @ people who say AEG and Trez are shit when they've both scored massive goals for Villa over the last three seasons. Yes, they are incomplete, inconsistent players with flaws in their game, but they deserve more respect, IMO.

I phrased my post wrong- I think Fox/Newsmax will try to say that the Capitol rioters were Antifa/BLM and thus guy is a residual part of the attack on Jan 6.

Major League Baseball has pulled the All-Star game out of Atlanta because of Georgia's new voter suppression laws. Not sure it will have too much impact beyond the symbolism as it's not a top drawer event, but the symbolism is stark and hopefully sets a trend.

I loved this show as a kid. Seems pretty dated now though.

I started to watch The English Game, but didn't get far. I usually quite like early 20th century English period productions and obviously love football and this seemed okay... but the Scottish hot shot striker was really annoying and the show seemed to lack cohesion. Should I keep watching?

The Minneapolis Police Chief is going to testify *against* one of his own officers (Chauvin). I'm not sure this has precedent.

Finally got beyond the second episode of Breaking Bad. Close to the end of S2 now and still not convinced. It's pretty schlocky stuff on the whole. Some decent dialogue and acting, but the storyline is idiotic and some of the side plots are even worse. It doesn't help that I dislike every character. The most likeable is Hank, but that's not saying much. But I'll stick with it because it's entertaining enough and everyone says it gets progressively better.

Go slow if you've been on them for a long time. I was on them for about 4 years and quit cold turkey without issues.

I've got no problem with the Golden Rule lessons in Christianity, but I despise the judging and the shaming and the repressional aspects of it, not to mention the sex abuse in rhe Catholic church and alignment of Evangelism with far right politics in the USA. When your religious leaders are child rapists and despot whisperers, you might consider alternatives.
