If any of these clubs wants to buy a player from a non- Super Wank League club, there should be a massive tax levied on them. If they want players developed in strong academies like Southampton or Aston Villa, etc., they should feel the pain.

I've been waiting since 1994 to see Villa win the league by virtue of besting the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool et al. If they are gone, the lustre of winning the league is severely damaged, IMO.

Now that these clubs will likely be facing severe sanctions in their domestic leagues which will further damage their finances, they will view their super league as a fait accompli, with just the wrinkles to be ironed out. There doesn't seem to be much wiggle room for them. They've made their bed.

Reading the UEFA statements and having some cognitive dissonance. They've been flirting with this concept for years themselves, but now that the clubs have gone behind their back to form this league, they are suddenly full of righteous indignation. Not quite hitting the mark for me.

Fans should organize and just stonewall their "competition". Don't subscribe, don't stream, don't buy tickets or merchandise. Let them play in the dark.

Not sure I agree with that. Gary Neville did not pull any punches and it was heartfelt. If you love and understand and respect the sport and it's traditions and history etc., you will be outraged by this no matter your personal financial stakes.
