Video evidence is not always a sure thing when a cop is on trial. Chauvin's own chief and other police testifying against him was devastating to his defense. Really unusual that it happened. The Blue Wall is normally insurmountable.
Sometimes I daydream about living in a quaint English country village in a thatched roof house with a wood stove and a little garden. It will never happen, but it's a lovely daydream.

These clubs need to feel pain and their owners need to lose money. Anything less and there is no deterrent to them trying this again.
I was reading a news article yesterday in which an adult American lawyer was asked to describe their reaction to the Derek Chauvin verdict. They said, "I was just like, wow."
I'm trying to determine when people began speaking like this. Maybe the 80's? But it seems like it everywhere now and my fear is that I myself might occasionally fall into this lazy way of speaking too.

I've come around to the idea of docking them 20 points next season and banning them from both domestic cups for 3 years. UEFA won't have the balls to ban them from Europe, will they?
Generally, I think NBC does a good job with their Premier League programming. I like the 2 Robbies, Lowe. Higginbotham is decent. Arlo decent. You can tell he forces his enthusiasm on some goal calls and other commentary. I like Graham Le Saux. Dixon not so much.
