The joists were nailed into the hangers which were nailed into the ledger. Which makes removing them impossible unless i shred the framing. Just finished A Very British Scandal. I thought it was well made. Crisp production style and very good acting. I used to think Hugh Grant was just a bumbling toff, but this performance is the most interesting thing I've seen him in and I hope to see more of his work now.

Interesting that throughout this pandemic, there's been relatively little attention paid to the origin of Covid, which is the animal flesh market. It's only a matter of time until this happens again. I wish people would view animal consumption as a rare delicacy like human beings used to. But now we eat steak and sausage and cheeseburgers 7 days a week. It's a big problem on many levels including the pesky ethics of it.

I've been using creamy oat milk in my coffee lately and I love it. It's sort of a neutral flavor that doesn't overwhelm the coffee like dairy sometimes can. If you drink fresh ground quality coffee, you should try it. It makes the coffee taste better.

Smith has likely managed himself into a position where he'll have a large transfer budget that could really balloon if we sell Grealish. If Villa go through a prolonged stretch of poor form and bad losses next season, he might find his job under threat. But until then, we should back the manager to get it right because he's spent the last three years getting things right most of the time. I love the fact that he's a Villan. Go Dean!

Then it is not small in comparison. Everyone's experience is unique and nobody's experience is "less" than anyone else's. Only we can walk in our shoes and it's not a cake walk, even for the most "successful" people who look like they have it made in the shade. Gary Speed comes to mind. Great career, nice house, lovely family. I think the best way to handle each day is to try to carve out small moments of enjoyment or love or fun throughout the day if possible. Sleep is like gold dust, too. A break from your mind and the relentlessness of angst. You (all of us) have to keep facing life.
