    I'm convinced his Euros experience made him want to join Man City. He loved the adoration and the celebrity status he was getting. He clearly wants the brightest lights shining on him full time. Que Sera sera.

    100%. There is no bigger waste of time than putting negativity and hate out into the world. It's just a game. He's a great player and fun to watch, that probably won't change, even if he leaves Villa. I'll be happy for him if he does well and I'll get a kick out of it if he flops, but I hope he isn't abused, etc., it will make Villa supporters look really bad, IMO.

    Upside is Smith can now shape the team in a way that doesn't have to accommodate one player above all. I've felt, and said it on here in the past, that Grealish could be a ball hog at the worst moments.

    Looking like he's off, then. If he does go, I honestly hope he does well for them. I'll still enjoy watching him play because he's a fascinating player. But if he rotates in and out of the starting 11 and is played out of position and struggles to maintain his form and finds himself under pressure from the Plastico fans, I will **** LOL at him and ridicule him for walking away from Villa for easy "glory" with the Plasticos.

    Sign him up for depth and competition for Watkins. Tell him if he outplays and out trains Ollie, the starting job is his. Net positive for Villa.
