Gronk really slow after the catch but he's still quick and gets open and has hands of woven silk. And still hard to tackle. Great value pick in fantasy
I remember F16s flying right over my apartment in Boston after the towers were hit and feeling a tinge of fear when the Pentagon got hit and the fourth plane was still in the sky heading to DC. No idea of the full scope of the attack and because it was all so massive already, it seemed much more was possible.
Then the jumpers and then the towers collapsed and the images were just unbelievable. Overwhelming.
I went to work at the bar that night and learned one of our regulars there was on Flight 11. A really sweet middle aged lady. Really sad night. Her best friend sat at the bar all night. We poured a glass of wine for her dead friend.
The political reaction in the USA was catastrophic on so many levels. But that's another conversation.
September 11th will always be really sad.
I was a true metal head in my teens. Maiden, Queensryche, Metallica, Dio, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Ozzy. All the 80s metal bands. Saw them live.
But I grew out of it by the time I turned 20. For me, metal is for teenagers and 20s people. I still respect what it is, but there is so much more interesting music out there to enjoy than the head banging shredder stuff.
I remember watching the opening scene with McNulty and the kid on the stoop and thinking that it seemed annoying. Restarted it later on and by the end of the first episode I was hooked.
Breaking Bad can't hold a matchstick to the Wire. But the Wire is very specific to urban East Coast USA and Baltimore in particular, obviously. Lots of lingo and cultural references that would be lost on a viewer from abroad or older American who doesn't want the bother of reading between the lines to glean context and meaning.
The most memorable character on a show full of them, arguably the greatest television show of all time. Incredible professional accomplishment. He should have had so many more years. Really sad.
