I'm serious. I like Tyrone a lot. Great guy and he has all the tools to be an elite CB. Just switches off his head too often and at the worst times. He'd be an excellent reserve CB for Villa. If we can upgrade in January whilst retaining his services,, it's an easy decision, IMO.
We need to revert back to 4-2-3-1, which means Ollie needs to be dropped, sadly, with Ings in better form.
Tough break for Ollie, the Ings signing. His confidence has taken a knock because of it, IMO.
He didn't do anything to deserve this struggle he is now in.
Not sure how you keep playing both when they clearly don't click.
This is the top point of order for the team right now. Sadly, Watkins has to be dropped because Ings is in better form.
Really tough break for Ollie with Ings being signed. I think it's affected his confidence and now it might just force him out of the starting job. He didn't deserve this.
He will probably view this as his worst loss as Villa boss. He won't sleep tonight.
I really hope he uses this as a pivot point to motivate himself, the staff and the players to never let this happen again.
I have no problem with the subs he made today.
My problem is the sticking with 3-5-2 again after Spurs. Watkins and Ings up top doesn't click.
My other concern is that if the mentality and focus of the team is weak, the manager needs to fix it.
So while I support Dean 100%, he has to show some nous now. The crucible will only get hotter.
Looking at the positives:
McGinn is in top form
Buendia looked better
Wingbacks played well
Luiz looked good
Ings steady as ever
Konsa and Martinez fine.
Looking likecSanson may finally have a path to regular playing time.
Bailey and Traore back soon.
It's only October.
Time to rally around the players and manager and not level them with abuse.
Weak mentality to this Villa side. 2-0 lead at home in the second half and they crumble. Unforgivable.
The center of defense is a problem besides Konsa.
I think subbing Luiz after his flight was perfectly fine. Can't blame Smith for that.
Can't blame him for the Cash sub, cuz he was injured.
Buendia still not ready to complete 90 minutes, so I was ok with Ramsey there.
This was less to do with Dean and more to do with the players losing their nerve and concentration, and Wolves not giving up.
Bitter loss but let's not tar and feather the manager for it.
Whenever I daydream of winning the lottery, I usually think first about who I'd surprise with a new car or house. I think I'd have a lot of fun giving some if it away, to loved ones and then good causes and organizations. Id start my own foundation, too.
But for myself, I'd buy:
A coastal Maine summer cottage
A sailboat and learn how to sail
A small chalet in Switzerland with a wine cellar
A small beach house in the Caribbean
An antique sports car
A Tesla
A few bespoke suits
An entire new wardrobe, actually. I'm a ragamuffin.
