I fast forwarded past that woman's account. Too painful to listen too. It's a devastating indictment of the British establishment. The guy was quite openly a predator and repeatedly admitted it on camera for years.Beyond belief that he was held up as a virtuous hero. Sick. But...you can see how he got away with it. He was very clever, or as he put it, "tricky". Very shrewd operator and master manipulator. And he had charisma. And he was one of the most dangerous men in Britain walking the streets. Total narcissistic psychopath. Were any of his enablers ever brought before the court?

I'd honestly prefer that if they were going to use Wire actors, to just reprise a few of the characters as fringe players in the continuing life of the city.

A girlfriend many years ago bought me a bottle of Fahrenheit. Which actually smells pretty good. Sort of musky wood spice. But I was never a cologne guy so didn't wear it much. 30 years later and I recently opened the bottle. About half full, but it had gone bad. It came out in goopy flakes. So straight into the bin. I wear unscented deodorant. I have scent sensitivity. Floral perfumes trigger me. Some lady at the grocery store the other day was bathed in the stuff. I wanted to tell her she was offending me!

I'm 51. In my head I still feel young. But then I look in the mirror and see a white beard, white chest hair, sagging jowls, crow's feet, a bald spot and graying temples. It is really depressing. I look in the medicine cabinet and I see blood pressure meds, and stool softeners. Vigorous workouts tend to result in some form of pain or injury. If I shave and wear a hat, people think I'm in my late 30s. But then I'll do things like groan when standing up from a seated position which is a dead giveaway. When despondent about getting older just remind yourself of the alternative. And enjoy your relative youth to the fullest. I'm sure there are many 81 year olds who would snap at the chance to go back to being 51 again. It's all relative.

It seems as if Putin will simply luxuriate in grinding the gears of destruction until he is stopped.

With each new atrocity my patience for our current strategy is waning.
