With the new North Stand and Las Vegas Villa investment, there is no way they won't continue to pump money into the next several transfer windows, IMO.
Sometimes if I'm in a grocery store I'll think about where the rear exits are. I try to avoid driving conflict. Like I'm not likely these days to lean on the horn and give the finger. I marched with BLM three times and was vigilant. Also I recently attended a abortion rights rally. Same thing. Kept a lookout for trucks with flags. I saw a bumpersticker recently that said Family, Friends, Faith and Firearms. They are increasingly militant. So it's a concern. My cousin in suburban Philly says he is very stressed out about what he sees down there. Rural Pennsylvania has become very right wing.
So I'm concerned about random gun violence and also political violence which is being stoked.
But I try to temper my concern which is why I haven't gotten a gun. I've always felt like they win if I give up and buy a firearm.
But it's good to be prepared for anything.
I live about 100 miles upwind of the nearest military installation, which itself is quite remote. After that, the nearest target for Russia would be Boston and the biotechnology industry outside the city.
So a nuke attack would not affect me immediately. But obviously it would be catastrophic for global stability, not to mention the targeted areas.
I'm not a gun guy but the political atmosphere in the US is tense with one side openly advocating for mass violence.
So I want to learn how to handle a firearm. I took a pistol class years ago but never got a gun.
This gun looks interesting because it's more than a pistol but less than a rifle. And it's collapsible which is pretty cool.
They're supposed to be easy guns to learn on as well.
A guy behind me at the grocery store bought boxes of candy and cookies, 2 bags of potato chips, ice cream sandwiches and 2 bottles of soda. He went back to get a third. An overweight guy with splotches all over his face. Poor guy probably never learned how to eat healthily.
Nobody drinks more soda than Mexicans, who have an obesity problem too. People need their sugar fix.
I stopped drinking alcohol 16 months ago. All I drink now is coffee and water with the occasional herbal tea or n/a beer.
Options are narrower. I've had a hankering for a real authentic root beer.
Are they any dry bars in UK Land?
It seems like they are stretching a bit. Not my cup of tea, anyway.
The "This is how it is in America" vibes are a bit cringey.
I had their early stuff on cassette back in the day, before they got big and liked them. I liked their energy then.
Zach Steffen will be haunted by that.
The cynic in me thought it looked almost intentional.
I think we'd be naive to think match fixing doesn't happen in Britain, especially in cup matches.
At the end of the day, I've done no prepping at all. But there is an appealing aspect to it in these dangerous times. There's probably a healthy balance to be struck with it, like anything. Growing a veggie garden and getting a generator and solar panels seems fairly innocuous.
