We just had a stripy shirt last year.

The away is a bit dull and the piping on it is sort of annoying. But I rather like the home shirt even if they played it safe. They got the claret right. The neck design is solid. Crest looks fine. The Castore logo is better than most. Hopefully they get more creative next year, but I'm content with these. We've had much worse.

I'd normally agree with what you've said here, but the 5 subs rule changes the landscape. We can give him regular minutes and definitely start him in league cup games.

I don't think I've ever been as excited for a preseason as I am for this one. Can't wait to see who else we sign and then how the players all blend together. It will be fascinating to see how Archer and Davis do and what headaches they might give Gerrard. The Down Under element makes things even more juicy. Bring it on!

Time will tell and I have my doubts. But his mere presence is improving the outlook of the club, so he gets some leeway from me. But the owners will demand better results so the pressure will there in spades.
