He still picked Konsa and McMeatball. But the game plan was sound and pretty well executed. I'm still not at all convinced he is good enough. I've voted OUT.

Agree with much of this. The "Caribbean-esque" music when they show the Hobbity village is very weird.

The opening 17 minute sequence had me at the edge of my seat thinking we were in store for something spectacular. But after 2 episodes I'm left a bit deflated. Nice to look at despite the terrible costume design. Good music. Solid acting. But something feels off. The feeling you get when a show goes off the rails. We aren't there yet, but the plot lines are already meandering and sort of random and a bit ponderous. John Carew is an elven warrior, so that's cool. I hope things tighten up and do that opening sequence justice.
