When I was little, the American (and National) Leagues were just one division and the winner went to the world series. Making the World Series a much more exotic and blockbuster event than nowadays. Even shitty .500 teams can get hot and win it all.

It's disappointing because while I originally thought it would be a failure, the trailers made me reconsider my prejudice. It looked amazing.

@Straggler I agree 100%. I also couldn't finish episode 3. They keep introducing new characters and storylines that are just as boring as the previous ones. I am not invested emotionally in any of them. I don't care if all the characters were swallowed up by a giant sinkhole. The acting and dialogue is forced and flat. Even the casting seems riddled with mistakes. These actors have little charisma. The scruffy Harfoot girl is maybe the best of them. But I can't blame the actors too much when it's the writing that is the real culprit. The best part of the show are the city renderings. I'm this close to just not watching any more of it.
