Could see him back at LA Galaxy as manager. They like their flashy shiny things, and he's well liked there. Less of a cauldron and more room for error. He'll be fine. But he's licking his wounds tonight, for sure.

He's won the starting job, IMO. Let Digne try to claw back into the running, maybe he'll improve his play. Who would have thought that Ashley Young would end up as Gerrard's best signing?

Pretty clear that despite everything else, he is really coming into form, asserting a leadership position on the pitch, and he's committed to the club. I could see him as a captain, and even without the armband he's looking like an automatic starter going forward.
