I dropped my nephew off at college last August. While on campus, I saw a giant mural of an African or African American face. It's good artwork. It contains various empowering slogans, and also one that says "DISMANTLE WHITENESS"
I'm pretty sure it means to basically fight white supremacy and I agree with that.
But the wording is kind of vague and open to interpretation.
What is whiteness?
Despite the global popularity of the PL, and all the money involved, the match production is sorely lacking, IMO.
NFL stadia are rigged with more cameras, including some that slide on cables or are affixed to drones.
Exterior shots of the ground and surrounding area, fans entering, parking lot, etc. They all add to the viewing experience.
Premier League game production is much less dynamic.
TBF, the incredible success of the Premier League has played a key role in the creation and steady growth of MLS.
I do have sympathy for long term local and so called legacy fans who can't get a ticket because 500 overseas fans scarffed them up. Victims of the success of the league.
I wish I could get excited about this.
It just feels like an exhibition and not a real World Cup.
Maybe I'll feel different after the first few games but right now I'm just not getting those anticipatory feels that one usually gets before the WC.
His antics like storming into the tunnel before the end of games are totally unprofessional and detrimental to team cohesion. He's put ETH is a very difficult spot and it's just a stupid distraction. And now this, minutes after a massive last second victory.
This surely spells the end for him there, so maybe he's done everyone a favor by going public like this.
But why even do it like this. Just keep it in house and ask to be released or sold.
Intriguing young player with a lot of hype behind him.
"The next GOAT" and all that.
I love seeing teenagers playing at the highest level for big clubs...I hate Manchester United but I'll root for this kid.
