  1. The link that excites me most is the Korean.
  2. 29 isn't that old for a defender. It's a decent price tag and Emery likes him and Digne needs competition. We can always sell Digne this summer and splurge on an elite, younger LB.
  3. Speaking of continuity.... We might consider making this a keeper league by allowing each manager to retain one player from the previous year (and losing the draft pick from the round in which that player was picked)...
  4. We can start by arresting him in Florida and shipping him back to Brazil.
  5. I like preset to the previous years final standings. Adds to a sense of continuity and gives the last few teams in the standings some hope for the upcoming season.
  6. Woot! I've won my other league.

    Who can go?

Keep Kamara, Ramsey, Carlos and Martinez. Everyone else can go.
  8. It pisses me off that the Bolsonaristas have tried to co-opt the Brazil football shirt as their "Red MAGA cap".

    Who can go?

The question should be who can stay? I think today's result brings a sharp focus on the sad reality that we just aren't good and we have players who, due to their ability cap or mentality deficit, drag the whole program down. Ashley Young is our best player FFS
  10. We've lived through some very depressing times with Villa. We are obviously now in a great position relative to our last 30 years. Perfect owners. Perfect manager. A few really good players. But it's just not happening yet. I think because we are so anticipatory about the next steps up that we stumble upon the immediate step. It's incredibly frustrating. I try not to let Villa anger me, but I'm **** angry tonight. I was really looking forward to an FA Cup run with Emery. But these players are just a collective calamity every few games. Same old Villa. I'm so fed up with the mediocrity.
  11. Right, I'm just not sure why you are bringing up the idea of US imperialism/Biden plot. Who has suggested that? Miller and Bannon are deeply involved with Bolsonaro, with Trump and Stone a bit more removed. But Miller and Bannon have been traveling back ad forth to Brazil for years now. It's likely that some of the MAGA grift cash has been funneled to Bolsonaro and that they share other resources and methodology.
  12. Who suggested this was a Biden scheme? This has Trump, Jason Miller, Steve Bannon and Roger Stone written all over it, in collaboration with Bolsonaro and his people.
  13. It's like he has an untreated iron deficiency. Really low energy. Seems like he doesn't even enjoy playing.
  14. We are going to be eating big contracts and I fear austerity measures looming. Purslow and Lange have dug us a deep hole.
  15. Gerrard had his hands tied on this one, I'm sure. I blame Gerrard for a lot, but not this.

    Unai Emery

Emery has to shoulder a portion of the blame today. No sense putting in almost your entire second team when you're trying to advance in the most prestigious domestic cup competition in the world. We aren't Manchester City. We don't have that kind of depth and we don't have any trophies at all in decades. Take it more seriously, Goddamit. We also showed the opposition little respect in the team selection, but also by coasting in the second half. Tapping the ball around in their half with no impetus or desire to put the game to bed. We got exactly what we deserved from this game today. Shocking display. Unforgivable for the time being.
