Yeah, I still can't bring myself to hate the guy. He did to us what he'd have done to any other opponent. Why should he change his M.O. just for us? We are simply at the wrong end now. It pissed me off yesterday but this morning I've got other actual real things that piss me off, not some goofy footballer. -
If you're familiar with the rest of the instrumentation it might help. I know what you mean, by the way, and my tastes vary widely. But for pure rock and roll guitar bombast, EVH from those early years was lightning in a bottle.

Not sure they improved the perception of rap generally....they merely provided a contrast to PE, NWA, and some the other more aggressive groups of that era. Maybe you mean they improved the perception of rap for white people? In which case, you might be right.
