I remember watching him at the final whistle at Fulham. His facial expression was very telling. He was walking toward the Villa supporters and had a sort of exasperated look that suggested disgust with the entire situation and Gerrard specifically. I hope we learn the full behind the scenes story of the Gerrard nightmare. I think it's possible the entire team despised him by the end of his stint.

Me too, I've been suggesting this for a while now. Douglas is the spiritual leader of the team and should be captain. He acts like a field marshal but is always cool and collected. Hopefully Unai sees this and gives him the armband next season.

I think some people think he has some defensive weaknesses and erratic end product. And they're not wrong. That said, he has obvious quality to his game and is an asset to the side. And he's a good guy, a top professional. I'd like to keep him in a platoon/backup role.

Just take it as a compliment. I just like the fact that people are taking Villa seriously again.

Ollie is thriving on being the main man. We saw what happened when Ings came in, it messed with Ollie's head and his form dropped. I kind of worry about what happens if we sign some fancy foreign striker this summer. Will it get in his head again? Is Watkins-Duran-Archer sufficient? I think it might be and we could spend money on other positions.

Another embarrassing US government classified intelligence misadventure.. Not sure how a 21 year old is able to access that information, steal it and disseminate it right under the nose of his employer, who might still be none the wiser had the Washington Post not broke the story. Also concerning that the kid is a Putin fan. USA once again proving to be a very dicey security partner to our allies.
