    I keep an eye on Sampdoria, cuz my ancestors came from Genoa. It doesn't hurt that they play in the best stadium in Italy. In general though, watching Italian league football puts me to sleep. Typical negative tactics...and woeful atmosphere for most games. For a top league, there's an awful lot of half empty stadiums that are little more than crumbling concrete bowls...

    I heard the other day that the Jonas Brothers (I think it was them) have released their 3rd book about their lives. 3 books and i don't think they're even 20 yet (although I could be wrong. Point still stands) Hmmm, that's a tough one, because collectively, they're hovering around 60, well old enough to write a decent autobiography. Ah, but they have 3 books, which takes the average age per book down to around 20 again. So the point stands Or the totality of life experience in those 3 books is equal to 180 years.... Can't wait for their next album, should be brilliant

    Looks like McCourt may have found a buyer. Over $1 Billion..... Yep, read something in the LA Times about it. $1.2 billion with US and Chinese investors. Surely McCourt sells at that figure? At this point, I don't think he has much of a choice. That's a pretty penny though, isn't it?

    The Atlanta Braves. Proud History (recent and past), strong sense of belonging, never quite smashed into the elite but always threatening, fans love a good moan too. Problem is, the Braves were originally from Boston. Then they moved to Milwaukee. It's only been the last 40 years or so they've been in Atlanta. And while in Boston, they were the smaller club.....kind of like.....

    Good piece of business signing these two at the very end. We could have done nothing. Something tells me the goals are going to be sparse though. I predict a January striker signing to secure a mid table position, just like last year. We need another quality striker.
