Just another example of why wild animals need to be left in the wild. Sickening story. As for your "America" comment....it was night time, dozens of alpha predators were spreading out all over a residential area....even with Animal Control mobilized, they were never going to be able to dart all the animals...it's not like they were out in the Grand Canyon. It became a public safety matter, and it's a good thing no little kid was torn to pieces by a **** leopard. The police were in a gut wrenching situation, but did the right thing, in my opinion.

She's braindead, unfortunately. I'm glad someone linked 'Bystander Effect'. People in crowds tend not to react to things that do not involve them, we feel less responsibility to help someone when others might. It's not something inherently Chinese, it's something inherent to modern society. Sad, but true. Yep, there's an infamous case in NYC back in the 70's or 80's of a woman who was being raped on a Manhattan sidewalk at night in the summer, and she was screaming for help, but nobody did a thing to aid her.

When chronic interrupters interrupt me, I'll just continue talking, so we'll both just be yammering away ridiculously, not hearing each other at all. Ultimately, they 1. Get pissed off and 2. Realize their own irritating proclivity.
