  1. Bit of a drama being played out in suburban Boston right now....a Hamilton cop shot a Beverly cop and took off... the victim is ok....but there's a full scale manhunt on for the rogue cop...this could end very ugly.

    Do you read?

Just picked this up, his book on the Balkans was superb
  3. yeah, she hasn't aged well at all, but she was bonerific back in the day
  4. Cheap friends...a buddy of mine emailed me to ask if I wanted to go to a gig a couple of nights before my birthday (which he mentioned)...and then proceeded to tell me the ticket would cost me $22.50.... Who the hell can't spring for the $22.50 for someone's **** birthday? I'm tempted to respond by saying I'm already going to the gig with someone who's paying for the ticket
  5. Expansions (Larry Levan Remix)-Lonnie Liston Smith Brotha-Jill Scott Hark! The Herald Angels Sing-Vince Guaraldi Trio Flyin' High (In the Friendly Sky)-Marvin Gaye Magic Bus-The Who
  6. Sad she died, but I'm probably with you on this It all seems a little self flagellating Whereas they spent 10 seconds on a poor 2 year old whose life ebbed away on camera following shrapnel wounds That's the press for you, though. Full of self-importance to the point of nausea.
  7. Looks like he's out for the season with a rolled ankle....terrible luck for the kid. Probably safe to say that his Villa career is all but finished.
  8. We need 4 more players for the VT Fantasy League...PM me for details....

Torres warming the bench for the Napoli game...the fall from grace continues...
  10. If they finish with a whimper he could well be on his way out, on is own accord, or otherwise. I wouldn't rule out Mourinho swooping in, either...
  11. That current Arsenal away kit is an attrocity
  12. Also, R.I.P. Gary Carter, the Montreal and Mets catcher....died of brain cancer yesterday at 57. Sad news, even though he drove a dagger through Boston hearts in '86.
  13. Tim Wakefield retired today, after 16 years with Boston. A great career, considering he was a cast-off from Pittsburgh who nobody wanted. He loved the Red Sox, and will be missed. But the writing was on the wall this past year.
  14. In the UK we have right wing and a loopy right wing politicians too. We have a voting system that doesn't actually represent the people, a pathetic honours system, a monarchy, no separation of church and state. Shall I go on. How **** dare we Brits, sit at our computers taking the piss out of America. Eh? What? Nurse!!!!! Well, i am a Brit, an ex-pat (a very sad ex-pat!) And can only echo Eames words:- Eh? What?? Living in America, i feel as if i've fallen down the rabbit hole. It's been a real eye opener and has really made me proud to be British. I cant help but notice you live in Utah, of all places....no wonder you feel like you've fallen into a rabbit hole! There ARE places in this country with an educated, progressive thinking populace. Head to either coast, quick.....
  15. Not sure that's Burial, but it sounds like him, and it's pretty **** good, too. It's not Burial mate - hence the NEW bit being underlined and uppercase. Thought it sounded decent though. Ah, I just read that as you being very enthusiastic about it,
  16. It actually does exist, believe it or not, in the form of a man, the senator from Vermont, Bernie Sanders. He doesn't represent a Socialist Party as it were, he runs as an "Independent"....but he is a self-declared socialist.
