I'd be more concerned if they just blindly barreled ahead throwing money at things not directly related to smart and sustainable player recruitment/wages and the actual North stand redevelopment and Trinty/Holte improvements. Get those things sorted, keep increasing revenue, win a trophy or two, and then double back to Villa Live. This news could be the result of Heck's scrutiny. NSWE have brought him in to take a fine tooth comb to our finances.
I think your position is largely supported by how these things typically play out, but in MY opinion, you'd be a fool to dismiss a player outright based on this criteria.
It took me all of a few seconds to think of a really good South American player who didn't move to a top European league until his late 20's (Martin Palermo). I'm sure there are plenty of others over the years.
I get what you're saying, but I just don't agree with the reflexive application of your prejudice.
Looking like Archer will indeed have a spot with the senior team this season with ECL mandating that each team roster four "club trained" players.
Which also means, Tim I., KKH and maybe A. Ramsey all make the team.
And it also means that Duran likely gets loaned out.
I hope the shade of blue on the new badge is tweaked on the redesign. The blue looks somehow either too dark or too light, I can't figure it out. Or maybe the gold lettering is too orange, and it's affecting the blue. Dunno. But it bothers me.
I can see them keeping the new badge on the shirt and for 2 seasons until the 150 year anniversary, where the shirt would get either a special badge, or the new redesigned badge. And that's when the rest of the old badge branding would come down around VP, BH, etc.
One of my concerns with Heck, is does he have a familiarity with English football, and if he doesn't, will this deficiency be a problem from time to time? I do not want any American razzmatazz in our branding/promotional/match day experience.
Project B6 would do well to just stay in their lane. They are still trying to get a foothold at VP with the club and supporters. These tweets do not help their cause at all.
Yeah, when they actually design a singular shirt for a specific club, they can make good shirts. They've been getting it right for Arsenal the last few years. I really like the boomerang type design on the first one. I love the collar with the lightning bolts on the second one. I hope we get a white collared shirt soon. And I like the neck on the third too. All very clean, IMO. I would love an Adidas Villa shirt with the old Trefoil logo!
He wouldn't use the big warheads, but he might use tactical nukes on convoys outside population centers. Depends how desperate he feels. He's shown nothing but contempt for the Russian people for decades, so I doubt he'd be too worried about using that kind of firepower on specific areas on Russian soil. I think he'd sooner use them domestically than anywhere else for fear of the repercussions.
