Love it that we have a bit of a bite in the team again. The way Benteke steamrolls over defenders and doesn't take any shit is fun to watch.

Full credit to Lambert for the current form of the team. He never seemed nervous or defensive when we were struggling, and his vision is beginning to bear fruit. The unity of the players is obvious, they were mentioning it on RAWK, too. With the right moves next month, we just might be able to push on and challenge for Europe. Why the f*ck not?

Benteke is a unique talent in that he's a massively big guy, but so poised and clever on the ball. His movement off the ball is very intelligent as well. Fantastic vision, great positioning, power, speed, grace, selflessness...he's so good it's scary, actually. I hope we can hold onto him. But based on his quotes last month, I think he's as good as gone as soon as the right offer comes in. We're still a selling club after all.

If legislation actually passed that resulted in the confiscation of firearms, there would be a civil war in this country, with a lot of local law enforcement siding with the people and militia groups. Google the "Oath Keepers", these people take it very seriously. The gun lobby is far too entrenched. As legov has alluded to earlier, it's career suicide for a politician to include meaningful gun law reform in his platform, especially if his constituents belong to that culture, and it is a cultural thing in many parts of the country. You'd think that 20 dead 6 year olds piled up in a classroom would be the proverbial straw, but I doubt much will come from it.
