    Lerner stuck with McGash till the very end last year, he'll do the same with Lambert. I'm still behind Lambert, but he's got to bring in the right players, soon, and they need to hit the ground running. 2-0 at home against Bradford will see us through and will provide a lift, and I'm pretty sure we can manage that result, despite how awful we are right now. Crashing out of the Cup to Bradford is bad, relegation is simply unthinkable. The league has to be the priority.

    I left for work at the 66th minute, and was hoping to return here to see it finished 1-1....This has to be the worst result for Villa I've seen in my 19 years following the club. Truly embarrassing, and worse than anything McGash served up last year. If we crash out of the Cup to Bradford, there will be red faces all around, but the threat of relegation looms larger and larger with every atrocious performance, and that would mean more than just blushes. This season is being held together by tape and gum, and it's starting to slip away.

    The defense is woeful, but it really comes down to the midfield. The defenders are under more pressure because our midfield is so **** lightweight, a wheelchair league team could plow right through it.

    The thing I like about Hagel is that he doesn't give a f*ck if he pisses off his party. And he pisses them off a lot. More importantly, he's not a war hawk.

    There's a Twitter thing going around...#nhlboo or something like that...the gist of it is that fans at every opening game boo the players each time they take the ice...somewhat misguided, as they didn't go on strike, they were locked out. I wish fans would just not go to the opening games, it would be a much better protest. Of course it'll never happen though. So they're gonna play half a season. I can't say I'm too excited. If the Bruins win the Cup, it will always have a * next to it. **** the NHL
