Yet another trademark late goal conceded by Villa, but of course you knew even at the halftime break, it would happen. I'm actually surprised they didn't go back out and lose the game. And yet another goal from a corner, if Lambert doesn't sort this out, we deserve to go down. Basic defending that you have several seconds to plan for, and these professionals cannot come to grips with it. Shocking stuff. Such a shame that we wasted two superb goals. 2 points dropped no matter how you look at it.

It's not like it's the real Wembley Stadium. In my mind, there is only one Wembley, and they tore it down 12 years ago. It's like Boston Garden. There was only one, and it's long gone now. -

I wonder had Lambert not frozen Bent out early on, stripped him of the captaincy, etc., would things be different right now. A happy and appreciated Bent playing upfront with Benteke could very well have been a lethal combination. Looking back, it seems a foolish and very risky move by Lambert. I don't care if there was some conflict behind the scenes, if you've got a healthy Darren Bent, PLAY HIM. I wonder how many points this has cost us.

If he's certain to sell, it would have been wise for him to bolster the team enough to make Premiership survival a sure thing. A Championship Aston Villa side will fetch considerably less than a Premier League Aston Villa.

If 10 million is ultimately the most money Lerner is willing to spend right now, he should sell the club immediately to an owner who will spend whatever is necessary to keep the club in the Premier League. We are on a plainly obvious path toward relegation with the team we've got now.
