On the whole, not good enough. That we took it to them for most of the second half and nearly scraped a point from it means nothing. We just handed Newcastle their first away win of the season. We have allowed the most goals of any club, and scored the second fewest of any club. We are possibly the worst team in the division. If Lerner and Lambert don't bring in a defensive midfielder to strengthen the side, we will go down.

Great goal from Cabaye, can't fault the players for that one, but Baker was playing the clown again for their first goal. Newcastle can go right through the middle, and up the wings, because none of the midfielders or wing backs are strong enough to deal with it. Tough luck on Zog hitting the woodwork, but this is men against boys. Lambert doesn't know what to say when we're ahead by 2 goals at halftime, so wtf is he gonna say now? It's over -

I know. That list is a nightmare. Contrast those players with the players David Moyes has brought in over the years at Everton. Night and day. O'Neill was a **** idiot in the transfer market.

This is what really bothers me about sanctions- they hit the weakest the hardest, and the tyrants that rule never feel the pain. We punish the people, and then their government uses it as an example of our cruelty. And in a way, they are correct.
