  1. Athens (Olympiakos, Panathinaikos) Moscow (Spartak, CSKA) Rome (Roma, Lazio)
  2. The very end of the film when they embrace, that's what got me! So simple yet effective I'm assuming that's the scene that everyone is referring to. The power of friendship and all. The fact that they were both free.
  3. I forgot Band of Brothers. Many of the interviews they added in were very emotional, but I kept my cool. Until the very end, of course-
  4. It may end up being an inspired pick. Just the right guy the kick the team in the arse and get a result or two.
  5. Hehe, I feel that way about Xavi. But all the interviews I've read with him, he seems like a pretty nice fella.
  6. Good post, Don. Once upon a time, I was a decent poker player. I'd consistently cash in tournaments, and do well at cash tables. But there were a couple of times when I'd go on a losing streak that things got a bit scary. I'd go back to the ATM, and then lose it all again. I could see how easily I could simply lose everything. It was a sobering thought, so I decided to stop playing. And I'm happier now, to be honest. That anxiety is lifted. The thing that really scares the piss out of me though is sports betting. I've only dabbled, but I could see right away that it could be my downfall.
  7. The Sun after the Murdoch scandal broke. I knew they were scum, but that sealed it for me.
  8. The Joss Stone stalkers...WTF!?
  9. Just watched "Lincoln". Good insomnia remedy.
  10. Dell Computer Co. Diabolical customer service. I had to threaten to report them to my state Attorney General's Office to get them to refund my money in it's entirety. Evil **** people.
  11. Phillip Morris Tobacco Co., probably named something else now. 11 years running
  12. Shawshank made me a little misty, but the one film that I can recall inspiring actual teardrops was the final scene of "Cinema Paradiso". Leave it to the Italians to really make your heart ache.
  13. Ibra with the tying goal for PSG...even though he was 5 feet offside and the referee was right there...
  14. Really enjoying the PSG-Barca match. David Beckham has passed the ball flawlessly, PSG defended very well until the inevitable Messi breakthrough. 0-1 at the half, but it looks like Messi will be substituted do to an injury that doesn't look too bad. So nice that this is not Chelsea v Liverpool. On a side note, PSG were established in 1970, incredibly late for a big European club in a massive European city. Did Paris have a club at all prior to PSG? And if so, what the poop happened to them?
  15. In Massachusetts, you can smoke weed in public, and the worst that can happen to you is a $75 fine. No arrest. You can also carry up to one ounce of it w/o fear of arrest. Bunny Colvin would be pleased.
  16. I wouldn't be so certain. If he can get a team mentality of "Us against the world", it might be enough for them to get a couple of positive results...I can think of many more managers that would make me certain that Sunderland would get relegated. Not DiCanio. He's a bit of a wild card.
  17. Depressing loss to Liverpool, coupled with Wigan beating Chelsea has me feeling very uneasy to say the least. I just pray Sunderland continue their free fall.
  18. What does Lambert tell them at halftime? Mystifying. A point was there for the taking. Everyone knows the stakes. Another loss from a winning position. Imagine if those were all draws... I have a dreadful feeling this is gonna come down to Wigan away.
  19. O'Neill the genius Of course, Sunderland will now have their tails up. None of this can be considered good news for Villa.
  20. Nah, it's the baseball offseason that gets me jonesing
  21. Might as well, it's the biggest killer of all
  22. There's a band of coyotes that live about 1/2 a mile from me...and I'm essentially in the city. There's an area of marshland that's teeming with rabbits. Coyote paradise. But when they feel cocky every now and then, they come into the neighborhoods and pick off cats and small dogs.
  23. Big difference between an addict and a dabbler.. Sure, it's just as insidious
