The thing with Leon is that you can't say he's been hard done by any of the three managers he's had at Villa. They've all given him the opportunity to hit his stride, but he's just not been able to. A change of scenery might benefit him. I could see him doing well in Serie A.

I can't believe I'm saying this considering how I felt about Villa just 3 days ago, but I'm not sure I want to watch the next match. I'm totally deflated after these injuries and bad defeat.

I shut it off after 87 minutes fully expecting to read that they scored a 5th. Terrible loss, shocking performance, catastrophic injury. Hard to imagine a worse opening match scenario. To make matters even more painful, you could see how Buendia, Ramsey, Moreno and Ashley Young would have made a difference. We have 2nd rate fullbacks and and a dull edge in attack when Ollie is not at his best or contained. This result screams for more signings if we want to challenge for anything.
