Reuters poll today showing 91% of Americans are against military action in Syria...the people have no leverage at all, we are at the mercy of a runaway Military Industrial Complex whose appetite for war is insatiable.

Listening to John Kerry's press conference, it seems a certainty that there will be strategic bombing. Give it a week. He'll wait for the Arab League to sign off on it, and then it'll be bombs away
It'll be interesting how Putin reacts to Allied bombing inside Syria. I imagine he will view it as a direct challenge and will not want to appear weak to Russians...this could all get very ugly very fast.
This isn't about oil, it's about the fear of Iran establishing a satellite state once Assad is inevitably chased out or killed.
Israel is the primary player here, doing all they can do to get the Allies to do their dirty work for them.
I'm not sure Ron Vlaar is our best choice for captain. He doesn't act like a captain, in fact he hardly seems to open his mouth at all. He doesn't lead by example on the pitch, either. IMO, Guzan, Weimann or Delph are better suited to wear the armband.
