  1. Yeah, The Two Escobars absolutely floored me. It's one of the best documentaries about anything that I've ever seen, really great film.

    Running

I got in a nice 2 mile run earlier. Really warm day today in Boston, so I worked up a good lather and was buzzing for about 20 minutes afterwards. Joggers High FTW
  3. I can't find that Iglesias catch on Youtube, but that has to be one of the most brilliant catches I've seen. We trained him well.
  4. I tied and jumped two spots in the standings...not the first time I've got lucky this year
  5. Yea, 10 v 1 when I'm at half health from a beast fight...."Honor Kill"
  6. On my server, the Isle is dominated with Horde, so it's just a gankathon for them and makes doing anything there impossible for Alliance. I did get a nice purple piece that dropped from a beast. Seems like there are more and more ways to get gear, including the "scenarios" option. It still feels like free gear though, because you just mash buttons for 5-10 minutes and walk with a purple piece. I have yet to do a proper raid with the guild I'm hooked up with.
  7. The question begs: Liken them to whom?
  8. This is turning into a real classic. One for the purists.
  9. Isn't it the same as Blacksmithing was for me? At around 560-570 you could buy new plans from a vendor in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Took me about 10 minutes after that because I had all the mats. ***EDIT*** This is from a guide I Googled: Nice one, thanks
  10. Thanks guys, it's amazing how VT can raise my spirits when I'm feeling down. I appreciate all your comments and stories and PM's. Crazy how cancer is so insidious and has touched so many people. It's good to know I can lean on my VT mates.
  11. Crap result, but that was classic October baseball, as gripping a 1-0 one-hitter can be.
  12. Thanks Mark, I'll check that site out. Sorry to hear about your dad too. And thanks for your advice, it means a lot.
  13. Most of the stories end at the bottom of a bottle...
  14. Cheers guys, yes it's a crap state of affairs, no way around it. The ferocity of it has been absolutely surreal. Really scary stuff. The chemo treatment will slow it down and has let us all catch our breath to a degree. Now we can can take our time in basically saying goodbye, and he can too. It won't be easy, because he's my best friend. But he's 73, and has lived about 10 years longer than I used to think he'd live. He lived hard.
  15. LW trainer is in Kun Aai, or w/e it's called...and he's got nada...I'll check back when I hit 570 in a few days
  16. About 6 weeks ago, my father was complaining about feeling run down and lethargic, with unusual aches and pains. Fast forward to now, he's dropped 45 lbs, and has been diagnosed with Stage 4 small cell lung cancer. Without chemotherapy, he was given about 6 weeks to live. He's begun chemo now, and his doctor says it'll add about 6-9 months to his life. We always knew this could happen, as he's smoked cigarettes for over 50 years. Now it's reality. And it's ugly. They say at the very end stage, the lungs fill up with fluid, and you drown, basically. Hopefully that can be avoided somehow, but the whole thing is a disaster. Has anyone here known anyone who has dealt with this? Any advice is appreciated, feel free to PM me.
  17. Game 1 Boston-Detroit tonight...I think we can get to Sanchez early and pound away at their bullpen. 8-2, us.
