Yep, the current badge is a failure on many fronts. Why shorten the prettiest club name in the world to AVFC? Spell out the club's name, dammit. Also, if we are to market the club on an international scale, having "Aston Villa FC" on the badge is vital. Not every football fan or potential football fan automatically knows what AVFC stands for. Major branding failure by the club. Hopefully, they smarten up and redesign the thing, because besides what I already mentioned, the badge looks like a big sloppy mess.

His confidence is back, and so is Benteke's, so I'm feeling very good about the rest of this season barring injuries. If Lerner/Lambert bring in a good MF to link up with those two, look out!

Westwood is not the answer. He's a Championship level player.

He's raw, but young and strong and with time can be a very good player.

What's the current status of his contract? He's still young, and if he continues to improve and add to his highlight reel, I can see some clubs come sniffing around soon enough...

Match of the year so far. Nightmare start, but the determination to fight back was clear to see. When the players believe they can do it, they have the ability to do it. And to do it at home, finally, is great to see. From the dodgy sound of the stream I was watching, the supporters were brilliant deserved that win. Well done. Wish I was there. Delph has to be MOTM, but Weimann had a great game too. Not sure why Holt was brought on, especially right after we took the lead. Holt and Sylla for Weimann and Lowton actually took pressure off West Brom. So Lambert got lucky there, IMO. All in all a very entertaining match, a home win, a derby win, a win against our mid-lower table rivals....Buzzing right now. UTV!

Yep, that was great to see. Guzan and Vlaar hugging, Guzan and Vlaar both hyping up Delph for his goal. Safe to say Guzan and Vlaar are the heart and soul of this team right now, with Gabby in there too.

I don't understand how people think Alan Smith was a terrible player. He was a very well rounded player, a very skilled player. He kind of unravelled the last few years there, but at Leeds he was superb.
