  1. The end scene of "The Milagro Beanfield War". Very sweet scene. And a brilliant little movie from the 80's that has been sadly forgotten or never seen by many movie buffs. Good cast too, with Christopher Walken among them.
  2. (In the Premier League era).... For me, it has to be Eric Cantona. He'd have been an all time legend for us.
  3. Westwood could sit in the middle of the pitch with a pot of tea and write poetry for 90 minutes and still be as effective as he is right now. It's like a void there.
  4. Plenty of close calls for both sides, so a draw is probably fair. An away point is nothing to shrug at, but the CM situation is a full blown crisis right now. Westwood needs to be dropped, but who do we have that is significantly better? This should have been addressed last month, it'll be our achilles heal the rest of the way. Vlaar MOTM Gabby probably earned himself a seat on the bench for the next match.
  5. Westwood doesn't even run into open positions well....I could do that, FFS
  6. He did it the other week from a very similar position and wasn't far off just now, hardly awful It wasn't a pass or a shot though, was it
  7. TBF, we knocked the ball around well for the first 10 minutes, but then just entered into that familiar malaise...almost like they know they aren't good, so why give it that extra bit of effort and focus....
  8. Very lucky not to be 2-0 down Westwood brings nothing to the side. Early on he had the ball at his feet with yards of open space in front of him, and he passed it backwards. Might as well put Weimann in there for Westwood, cuz Westwood does not do anything for us. Albrighton is the standout again, but some of his final balls have been lacking. Just not good enough again, I will not be surprised if we lose this.
  9. Watched "Silver Linings Playbook" last night, and it was just about as annoying as I expected it to be.
  10. For me, you have to sift through several unfunny scenes to get to one truly funny scene in Parks and Rec....not sure if it's really worth the effort.
  11. Without Hazard, Chelsea quickly become a much less formidable side. With no Mata, an aging Eto'o and flaky Torres, they could struggle to get goals. Nonetheless, they do have a healthy Hazard, and are playing well. I think it'll come down to Chelsea and Man City, with Liverpool overtaking Arsenal.
  12. Is Chelsea's quality enough to see them through? Is Man City so deep with talent that they'll ultimately take it? Can Arsenal hang on without some key injured players? Is the Sturridge-Suarez strike force dominant enough to boost Liverpool to the top? With Man U out of the picture and the likes of Spurs and Everton lingering around, the run-in to this season should be the most open and interesting in years. Who do you think will win it?

  14. My opinion of True Detective has gone down a notch after episode 4...still a great show, but it seemed to veer into improbable territory for the first time, and although it had more action than the three previous episodes, it lacked some of the murkiness that makes it so compelling in general.
