    I'm feeling less annoyed today. They had home field and a healthy squad, while we had 4 starters missing and another early CB injury to contend with. The only thing that still bothers me is when the going got tough, McGinn shrunk away, and you cannot have your captain do that on hostile ground. The mental strength of this side will be tested all season and with Mings out, McGinn has to be able to rally the troops out there, it can't be all on Emery. If McGinn can't do it, someone else needs to step up.

    The Daniel Jones pick in the 4th round is a flummoxer. The rest doesn't seem that bad though. But most of you guys know these players better than I do.

    Star-crossed so far, but not a total disaster. At least we're getting results off weaker sides. We need to hang on until January and take it from there.

    Yep, we put down a welcome mat for them. I guess the idea was to hit them on the counter, but we kept sitting back after each goal.

    Olaf's looks good, and so does Area 51, the other "D+" team.

    Traore is more of a goal threat.

    2 weeks for Langlet to get up to speed. His PL experience might just propel him right into the starting 11. If Diego is fit, Torres might take a seat for a spell.

    I've no problem with him attempting heroics when the game is all but lost. I also don't mind his spikey stuff. We've historically lacked players with that mentality.

    The more things change, the more they stay the same. Yes, injuries have been an issue, but if the Toon and Plop results are an early indication of how we respond to adversity, we may be in for a disappointing season. Selling Archer and Philogene is looking a bit rash. Time will tell a more complete story, but from top to bottom we are looking wobbly.

    I don't think Liverpool have been excellent. They haven't had to be. And that's what really irritates me. We never even clocked in today.

    Yep, this was the season we were supposed to put performances like this behind us. We were supposed to be equal to the other sides near the top. We are looking like our traditional soft touch status.
