  1. If enough top countries came out and boycotted the Qatar WC, FIFA would have to act. It seems as though we've reached a crossroads with FIFA- They are so brazenly corrupt, they don't even try to hide it. But everyone lets them get away with it. UEFA as well. If there was ever a time to reign in the sleaze and corruption of FIFA, it's now. 800+ dead in Qatar, workers who were essentially slaves! All the revelations of bribes and whatnot demand action. If WC regulars like Germany, Argentina, Holland and Italy come out and say they won't play, it could prompt other countries to do the same. Fans could do their part, too.
  2. Mummywood beat us with wire hangers
  3. Should I drive 90 minutes today to the casino to play poker for several hours/until I lose $400, or stay home and watch the Chelsea match?
  4. I think national teams should join together in a boycott of a Qatar World Cup. It's an absolute disgrace that it even got this far. It should have been awarded to Australia, anyway.
  5. Almost seems like a comedy sketch. Dude probably needed to check his skivvies, lol
  6. This is the time of year when we start to claw ourselves back from the brink. It's become somewhat of a tradition. I think we will win this one. Worst case scenario is a draw.
  7. It doesn't roll off the tongue, does it? But at least it has some significance, as the pelican is the state bird... The Jazz should trade their name back to New Orleans and call themselves The Utah Cult.
  8. So you've seen the Revolution then?
  9. Why do people spell it like this?
  10. Man U will go up 2-0 and then concede a goal in stoppage time to get bounced out of the tournament
  11. Yep, I can see him moving to PSG in a coupe of years. At some point, he may want to try his hand at international level, be it with Portugal, or England. I bet a Mourinho-led England team could actually win something. (Once the current deadweight is cut loose). In four years time, England could be good enough challenge for the World Cup with a good manager.
  12. Where does Mozart's Requiem go? Wherever it fits, I suppose...
  13. I'm not suggesting anything about the two pilots, but from a terrorism angle, Al-Qaeda et al could very well recruit young men to become commercial airline pilots or recruit current pilots who are sympathetic to "the cause". Once they've achieved that objective, they could have a small army of jihadist airline pilots at their disposal.
  14. Shocking defending on that one
  15. If I were a Premier League player, Mourinho would be the manager I'd want to play for. He is a proven winner, he's smart, he can be funny, he's shrewd and loves football. Sure, he can be a dick, but imagine showing up in the morning to train for Arsene Wenger....compare that to how you'd feel about a morning training session with Mourinho. Another measure of likability is what current PL manager would you actually enjoy having a pint of beer or glass of wine with? Tony Pulis? Mourinho is good for the Premier League on many levels.
  16. Mozart was a genius, but Beethoven goes straight to the soul http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMctnc_ogD4
  17. Evil in a bottle. I tried it once, did 2 shots and felt like death for the next 3 days.
  18. Speaking of Scandinavia, there's a restaurant in Copenhagen that serves moss and lichen.
  19. I haven't seen it yet, I heard it's so-so. But I plan on watching it now, based purely on your enthusiasm!
  20. It's like reading one of those Knausgård books. I don't know who that is, but it sounds really boring.
