It's almost impossible for a US sports team owner to lose money. Once you're in, you're on the gravy train, especially in the NFL (a model of pure, unbridled socialism).
Hicks/Gillette and the Glazers are examples of greedy parasites who do not respect the institutions they took over and only see dollar signs.
Fenway Sports Group is an example of positive American ownership, because they respect the culture and have a big enough bankroll to make Liverpool contenders. Basically Lerner but with much more money.
We'd want owners in that vein, and I trust Lerner to get it right in that regard.
